I am currently programming on a freelance basis, mainly sub contracting to design agencies but do have a couple of direct clients.
I’m a software engineer so I get a website design and I make it work, this could be really simple CSS/XHTML type stuff or it could be a content management system, an online shop, or a system that will run your whole business. I really love user interface design and spend many sleepless nights agonising over the best way to add a product to a catalogue in the least amount of clicks and in the most intuitive way.
I can use PHP, .NET, MySQL or SQL Server or anything else you want me to look at, my background in integration means I’m at home with learning languages, getting them to work and talk to each other.
I’m also comfortable with off the shelf products like Drupal, Joomla or WordPress but I’m really happy when coding a bespoke system which is lovingly crafted to match a client’s unique specification, as I think software should match the business not the other way around.
